Overview

Store and pull tools as requested. Responsible for documenting the receipt, transfer, and storage of customer and company owned tooling. Reports to Material & Tooling Manager / lead.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Follow Tooling Control process flow
  • Clean tools
  • Build boxes to store and ship tooling
  • Use TTS system
  • Check on-line tool request and e-mail tool request
  • Check and receive incoming tools
  • Photograph and store all tools
  • Perform Audits of tools
  • Part Stamp Tools
  • Contact lead with any problems with planning with any updates required
  • Maintain safety in the building
  • Work with planners adding new tools to TTS
  • Contact lead for tool / tools needing returned from vendors
  • Make tool shipper for all tool transfers
  • Maintain and file, proper documentation on all tool transfers
  • Stage for pickup / Deliver tools to proper work centers
  • Keep work area clean (metal bands will be picked up / removed from the floor immediately , never allow them to become a trip hazard )

Additional Responsibilities

  • All employees are responsible for the quality of their work and implementation of the Quality Policy.
  • Has authority to stop any production order for quality concerns or safety concerns.

  • Basic computer skills ( TTS system, Estitrack history and AX to clock in and clock out.
  • Read written directions  ( per vender shipping instructions ,e-mail request )

  • Able to pull reports for audits, tool storage, and transfers

Work Environment

  • Office and shop floor
  • Safety glasses at all times on the shop floor
  • Hearing protection when needed, due to equipment and material in use.
  • Covered shoes at all times
  • Working with sharp material and tools daily
  • Lifting/handling material daily
  • Proper clothing for work area and machine type(no baggy or dangling items around equipment)
  • Standing is required for long periods of time
  • Working outside may be required due to job assignments and production needs.

Knowledge Requirements

  • Tooling Control Process Flow
  • PMC /WASI TTS system
  • Tooling  Control Equipment

Skill Requirements

  • Forklift Certification
