Summary: The Human Manager is responsible for leading and executing all Human Resource Development activities at the site to ensure a capable, engaged, and future-ready workforce. This role supports organizational effectiveness by driving talent development, learning programs, leadership capability, and employee engagement initiatives aligned with corporate HR strategy and site operational needs. Responsible for the development and administration of Human Resource policies, procedures and compliance reporting.
Duties and Responsibilities:
HR Business Partnership: Serve as primary HR partner to Brenner site. Provide guidance on workforce planning, organizational design, coaching, and change management. Ensure alignment between HR priorities and business objectives.
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding: Oversee full-cycle recruiting for salaried and hourly roles. Partner with hiring managers to define job requirements and selection criteria. Manage onboarding programs to ensure strong employee integration and retention.
Employee Relations: Serve as a trusted advisor for employees and managers. Investigate and resolve employee concerns, conflicts, and policy violations. Ensure consistent application of company policies, procedures, and employment laws.
Performance Management: Lead performance review cycles and coach leaders on feedback, development planning, and accountability. Drive performance improvement processes as needed.
Learning & Development: Identify skill gaps and recommend development programs.
Support leadership and employee training initiatives.
HR Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEOC, etc.). Maintain accurate HR documentation and reporting. Support audit readiness and policy updates.
Total Rewards Administration: Support compensation and benefits programs. Provide guidance on job leveling, salary reviews, merit cycles, and benefits education.
Engagement & Culture: Lead employee engagement initiatives and action plans. Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts. Promote a positive and productive workplace culture.
Safety & EHS: Lead safety committee and work closely with internal and external sources to ensure all DEP resources are followed and recorded properly and are compliant with OSHA regulations.
