Responsible for performing dimensional inspection using CMM equipment, completing First Article Inspections (FAIs), and finalizing work orders and customer documentation packages in accordance with AS9102 and customer requirements. This role ensures product conformance through precise measurement, detailed documentation, and thorough review of certifications and specifications.
Perform dimensional inspections using CMM equipment to verify product conformance to engineering drawings and customer specifications
Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and part marking requirements to ensure accuracy of inspection results
Complete and review First Article Inspections (FAIs) in accordance with AS9102 and customer-specific requirements
Prepare and finalize customer submittal documentation packages, ensuring completeness and accuracy
Verify incoming and in-process products against purchase orders, specifications, and quality requirements
Ensure part marking is correct in content, legibility, and location where applicable
Review and validate all certifications for accuracy, traceability, and compliance
Ensure work orders are properly completed, including accurate quantities and required documentation
Scan, organize, and maintain quality records and documentation within company systems
Utilize Net-Inspect for FAI creation, review, and submission
Identify and report nonconformances or deviations from specifications to appropriate personnel
Support continuous improvement efforts related to inspection processes and quality documentation
Perform other related duties as assigned

Experience operating CMM equipment (programming experience preferred, if applicable)
Strong understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, and inspection methods
Familiarity with AS9102 First Article Inspection requirements
Experience with Net-Inspect or similar FAI software
High attention to detail with strong documentation accuracy
Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, data systems)
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and specifications
High school diploma or GED required
1–3 years of quality inspection and/or CMM experience preferred
Equivalent combination of education and experience considered
Strong organizational and time management skills
Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
