Overview

Works closely with Production Control, Material and Logistics Operations, Manufacturing Operations and Supply Chain to ensure production orders are adequately released to support optimal machine and capacity utilization and material is available for on time start.

Responsibilities

Operational Leadership:

Review and analyze MRP requirements, RMF capacity and subsequent machine capacity

Coordinate with Program Management, Production Control, Operations, and Supply Chain to ensure schedule reflects accurate lead times, constraints and production priorities

Review builds quantity settings to ensure maximum capacity utilization

Consistently improve scheduling processes and system accuracy within MRP

Monitor and communicate schedule adherence and performance metrics

Attend and lead meetings as required

Advise on MRP setting adjustments as necessary

Monitor and resolve MRP transactional/system issues

Ensure safety guidelines and company safety policies are being followed

Consistently acts in accordance with business professionalism principles including during business hours, at company events, meetings, off-site meetings, audits, etc.

Consistently provides professional business communications to internal and external customers, staff, peers and company leadership

 

Financial Management:

Consistently review intercompany release strategies to ensure maximum capacity utilization

 

Continuous Improvement:

Lead change management initiative to adapt to evolving industry standards

Identify opportunities to enhance efficiencies

Has authority to stop any production order for quality concerns

Ensure all employees wear appropriate PPE in designated areas as required

Team oriented

Detail oriented with meticulous work habits and strong project management skills

Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships

Willingness to apply hands-on approach in supporting customer activities and to step in when needed, not just observe

Strong ability to set priorities, solve problems, and be resourceful when under pressure

Comfort and experience interfacing with various levels of internal and external customers, and management while working in a fast-paced environment

Must demonstrate a sense of urgency and dedication to supporting customer requirements

Qualifications

Preferred Education/Experience:

College or High school degree and two to four years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Previous experience in production environment master scheduling or production control role required

MRP or ERP system experience required

Aviation background preferred
