Job Description: Works closely with Program Management, Supply Chain, Quality and Engineering to ensure production orders are adequately released and scheduled to support customer requirements as well as various other duties in support of customer requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Generate daily reports and update of plant wide line walk boards
Attend status review meetings.
Review new released jobs for held for items and document such items in operation status notes.
Delivery released jobs to first scheduled WC.
Maintain and organize jobs in the first scheduled WC.
Reports to Production Control Manager of PMC.
Interact with shop floor personnel as required in support of order fulfillment.
Assist in scheduling/prioritizing workflow per PO and recovery schedules.
Perform WO splits as necessary to support customer requirements. Cleaning up transactional data (journals), closing / open operations, adjusting pick quantities etc.
Physically move/expedite work through shop work centers as required.
Support/produce schedules to work floor as required.
Coordinate daily production requirements with Shop Manager and area Team Leaders.
Provide input to Team Leaders regarding priorities and help to organize jobs for processing per schedules and commitments.
Validate work order progress using shop schedules and Expedite Report.
Work any ECO activity as directed – pulling work orders for redline or stop work.
Knowledge, Skills and Other Abilities:
Team oriented
Detail oriented with meticulous work habits and strong project management skills
Working knowledge of MRP system function
Able to multitask and adept to shifting priorities
Preferred Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and MRP or ERP system experience
Aviation background preferred.
