Overview

Responsible for setting up and operating a variety of CNC, NC, and conventional machines to form and fabricate aircraft parts. Responsible for using hand tools, blueprints, and precision measuring instruments such as a scale, protractors, and calipers by performing the following duties.

  • Makes adjustments and uses appropriate skilled judgment to obtain high quality parts per engineering specifications.
  • Practices safe work habits.
  • Uses materials or tool moving equipment as needed.
  • Operates the heat plate in preparing parts for forming on press brake.
  • Maintains good housekeeping and cleanliness of work area.
  • Records each labor performance correctly.
  • Utilizes AX and uses for clocking purposes for the handling of scrap parts.
  • Utilizes various tools to check parts
  • Operates various machines in a safe matter.
  • Makes various improvements in the work area to increase the quality of work.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Certificates and Licenses:

Valid driver's license

Forklift

Press Break

Hydro

Shrinker/Stretcher

Punch Press

Batwing stretch
