Summary: This Manufacturing Park Mark Clerk is responsible for accurately marking parts and components according to customer, engineering, and company specifications using methods such as ink stamping, engraving, dot peen, or labeling. This role ensures traceability and compliance by following strict documentation and quality standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Apply identification marks (part numbers, serial numbers, lot codes, etc.) to parts and assemblies per engineering drawings, work orders, and customer requirements.
Operate marking equipment such as dot peen machines, laser markers, engraving tools, or hand stamps.
Inspect and verify marked parts to ensure legibility, accuracy, and compliance with standards.
Read and interpret blueprints, part drawings, routers, and work instructions.
Understands part mark cards, packaging standards, and packaging technique cards.
Validates product part marking corresponds with the production order.
Support inventory control by labeling parts and packaging correctly.
Handle and organize parts in a careful and systematic manner to prevent damage.
Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of marking equipment.
Team focused environment with commitment to quality and safety.
Preferred Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and routing sheets.
Detail-oriented with excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Proficient in using marking equipment and basic measurement tools (calipers, gauges, magnifiers, etc.).
Basic computer skills for data entry, inventory systems, and documentation.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold (non-weather), and extreme heat (non-weather). The employee is occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather).
