Overview

This position ensures the stable operation of the Atlas Aerospace network and systems. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network hardware, software, and communication links. The person will also analyze and resolve end user hardware and software computer problems in a timely and accurate fashion and provide end user training where required.

  • Test, maintain, and monitor computer programs and systems, including coordinating the installation of computer programs and systems.
  • Provide staff and users with assistance solving computer related problems, such as malfunctions and program problems.
  • Maintain and administer computer network and related computing environments including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations.
  • Secures and monitors all company systems, software and company information from security threats, viruses or other damaging materials.
  • Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system problems, and replace defective components when necessary.
  • Configure, monitor, and maintain email applications or virus protection software.
  • Monitors the performance of computer systems and networks, and coordinates computer network access and use.
  • Design, configure, and test computer hardware, networking software and operating system software.
  • Confer with network users about how to solve existing system problems.

Qualifications

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in management of information systems, Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Two years of experience in manufacturing Information Technology environment.
    • Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operations best practices, including expert knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols.
    • In-depth knowledge of wired and wireless network technologies.
    • Working knowledge of virtualization, specifically VMWare and Hyper-V.
    • Microsoft 365 Services Administration. This includes administrative experience with:
    • Exchange Online: Managing user mailboxes, email flow, and anti-spam policies. 
    • SharePoint Online: Administering site collections, permissions, and document management. 
    • Teams: Managing user access, team settings, and governance policies for collaboration. 
    • OneDrive for Business: Configuring file sync, sharing, and storage policies. 
    • Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory): Managing user identities, groups, and access controls. 
    • Detail-oriented with meticulous work habits. Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
    • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
    • Ability to work responsibly with or without direct supervision.
    • A strong commitment to providing excellent service and communicating technical information to non-technical staff is a major plus.
