Overview

This position is responsible for the Supplier relationships in cross-functional work environment, with daily oversight of Supplier Quality, Supplier Delivery, on-boarding of new suppliers, approval audits, desktop audits, on-site audits, and leadership over SQE’s.

Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Conduct approval process of new suppliers, surveillance of existing suppliers, with ownership of measurements and improvement projects and processes.
  • Ability to conduct internal and supplier AS9100 audits, DPD approval audits, and tooling supplier approval audits as required.
  • Manage and oversee the supplier audit schedule ensuring a level and variety of audits supported and performed.  Ability to travel for work will be required.
  • Manage and oversee the Supplier Quality Review Board presenting metrics to Supply Chain leadership, and Quality leadership.
  • Responsible for assuring team members receive all required training and certifications.
  • Preparation of reports on quality trends and supplier ratings.
  • Effectively work with QE team and other QM Peer Managers.
  • Improve processes and products using Lean and Quality tools.
  • Develop employees and teams to take a more proactive approach to product quality and process improvement.
  • Manage and oversee supplier FAI’s as it relates to support of receiving inspection at PMC with knowledge to address any supplier gaps in FAI’s meeting end-customer requirements.
  • Effectively manage Supplier RCCA’s through required quality tools such as 8D, 5-whys, Fishbones, etc.
  • Support Internal leadership CAB (corrective action board) meeting with review of supplier RCCA’s.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Must be familiar with the calibration and use of dimensional measuring equipment.
  • Must be capable of performing First Article Inspection (FAI) measurements, ensuring compliance of parts to blue-print requirements.
  • Must be able to make sound decisions quickly and independently.
  • Must have experience with ISO 9001, AS9100, AS9103, AS9102 and all relative aerospace requirements.
  • Experienced in the use of GD&T, MS Office, and MRP/ERP systems.
