Overview

Responsible for and capable of performing all of the duties of Level 1, 2, and 3 technicians. This position can perform complex CNC machine repairs including troubleshooting and repairing back to functionality by performing the following duties.

Responsibilities

 

  • Diagnoses, repairs, and calibrates CNC machine tools and general equipment.
  • Works with OEM suppliers to solicit parts quotes.
  • Works on phone with tech support.
  • Reads and understands machine manuals and schematics.
  • Oversees and provides direction to Level 1, 2, and 3 technicians for repair, clean up, and preventative maintenance of company assets including equipment, buildings, and grounds.*
  • Works with and provides direction to contractors.
  • Demonstrates the ability to design basic systems and implement.
  • Documents and reports any activity as required in daily logs or verbally communicated in daily crew meetings.
  • Uses iPad to retrieve work assignments, document action taken, maintain daily activity, and submits for review.
  • Ensures all maintenance tasks are completed to professional standards in the most effective and efficient manner.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Specialized Training:

Vo-Tech in maintenance related field

 

Equipment:

  • Forklift
  • Scissor lift

  • Time management

  • Must be able to bend, stretch, climb stairs and/or ladders, and work in dirty and hot environments
  • Can operate small utility vehicle

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.

 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, and fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather), work in high, precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals, outdoor weather conditions, extreme cold (non-weather), risk of electrical shock, and vibration.

 

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
