Overview

Responsible for and capable of performing all of the duties of a maintenance technician. This position is capable of performing higher level tasks with little to no direction by performing the following duties.

 

Responsibilities

  1. Performs basic preventative maintenance.*
  2. Performs coolant management, refractometer assessments and adjustments, and documents daily the results of each machine.*
  3. Performs basic machine repairs, which includes 1 for 1 replacement parts and/or motors, switches, pumps, and brings back to functionality.*
  4. Performs basic electrical both facility and machine.*
  5. Pulls communication and/or video cables.*
  6. Demonstrates the ability to coordinate and give instruction to contractors when on site as well as provide support as needed.*
  7. Documents and reports any activity as required in daily logs or verbally communicated in daily crew meetings.*
  8. Ensures all maintenance tasks are completed to professional standards in the most effective and efficient manner.*
  9. Perform any other duties within organization to help move production in a positive manner.

Language Ability:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

 

 

Math Ability:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

 

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of MPulse work order system.

 

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one year of related maintenance or manufacturing experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Specialized Training:

Vo-Tech in maintenance related field

  • Must be able to bend, stretch, climb stairs and/or ladders, and work in dirty and hot environments
  • Can operate small utility vehicle, forklift, boom lifts, scissor lifts, and cranes
  • Understand and follow safety procedures
  • Competent understanding of mechanical and electrical components

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, and fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather), work in high, precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals, outdoor weather conditions, extreme cold (non-weather), risk of electrical shock, and vibration.

 

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
