Overview

The material handler will work closely with the shop floor supervisor/leads within the production areas and the shop scheduler.  They are to track all jobs within the production areas ensuring ALL things needed to perform the task are staged with the production order.  They are to use the provided production schedule to stage the next production jobs.  The material handler will know the use of henning to ensure proper clocking was performed.     

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Logging in jobs on the correct schedule with precise locations
  • Make sure all programming is completed to perform the task assigned/ if not logging this on the proper production schedule.
  • Order needed tooling ahead of time to complete the needed task.
  • Stage the next setups at the proper locations
  • Ensure proper clocking was performed before moving to the next operation.
  • Move the jobs completed to the next operation.

  • Covered shoes at all times
  • Working with sharp tools daily
  • Handling material daily

 

Physical demands and Work Environment:

 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
