Overview

 Maintains proper inventory location for all material within PMC. Gathers the proper material for kitting to allow for the finished good to be assembled by performing the following duties.

Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manages incoming and outgoing stock to maintain inventory both physically and systematically.
  • Communicates and responds to specific areas in order to resolve issues with production.
  • Identifies proper inventory and review transactions.
  • Responsible for navigating and understanding schedules and reports.
  • Conducts cycle counts periodically.
  • Understands the FIFO process.
  • Performs and completes transaction journals to keep accurate inventory.
  • Understands and handles all provided documents.
  • Responsible for prepping production orders for staging areas.
  • Works on kitting orders to carts to provide production for assembly line.
  • Researches transaction history.
  • Documents accurate information for traceability.
  • Responsible for housekeeping in stock room, being able to identify and pull the proper inventory from its location to process it for final assembly, being able to remove damaged material from stock, and gathering all materials that must be sent out to sub-contracting and assembly.
  • Creates job cards to track material and usage.
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining accurate inventory movement transactions.
  • Communicates with various departments to resolve issues with products.
  • Documents proper data for traceability and identification.
  • Reviews and resolves transactions on inventory system.
  • Responsible for having the ability to navigate a paced environment with extreme accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Navigates through reports, spreadsheets, and registrations.
  • Ensures that documents and digital data control is in compliance with AS1900 guidelines.
  • Understands 6S guidelines (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain, and safety).
  • Responsible for the quality of their work and implementation of the quality policy and for having the authority to stop any production order for quality concerns.
  • Performs other similar or related duties as necessary.
  • Responsible for kit to kit carts/boxes.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Certificates and Licenses:

Valid driver's license

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to climb stairs, stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee’s work area is in an upstairs mezzanine workspace.  The employee must climb stairs to reach this work area.  Additionally, the employee is required or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus, and ability to see color.

 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work in high, precarious places. The employee is frequently exposed to work in high, precarious places, extreme cold (non-weather), extreme heat (non-weather), and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather), fumes or airborne particles, and outdoor weather conditions.  This position is an office and industrial shop environment which includes handling material daily, excessive noise, operating a computer, long periods of standing or sitting.  Personal protection equipment must be worn where mandated and employee identification badges must be worn at all times while on premises.

 

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
