Overview

Summary:Manager responsible for oversight and coordination of requirements from customers in order to develop and drive the Master Scheduling function at PMC.  Monitor flow of product through the PMC factory based on forecasts, firm purchase orders and scheduled requirements.  Provide cross functional support and collaboration regarding all factory constraints and any deviation from the Master Schedule.

 Responsibilities:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Production Control and/or Master Scheduling.
  • Creating productive efficient relationships with customers and communicating daily status on any schedule issues and delivery requirements.
  • Develop tools to monitor and take actions to ensure a high state of customer satisfaction.
  • Responsible for communicating Past Due Status to upper management and directing expedite personnel to work with all departments in PMC and outside processing to ensure timely flow of product in order to ensure on time delivery to customer.
  • Lead status meetings and follow up with purchasing, production, quality assurance to ensure schedule requirements are met.
  • Establish productive relationship with production, quality assurance, engineering, planning and shipping to achieve a high level of communication and effectiveness to ensure on time delivery to the customer.
  • Identify schedule concerns and take appropriate action to resolve problems and bottlenecks in the flow of product.
  • Makes or recommend revisions to planned production schedules as necessary when schedules can not be met.
  • Responsible for reviewing and inputting purchase, sales and forecast data from customers in to PMC data base and ensuring accuracy.
  • Monitor Min/Max accounts and ensure compliance to inventory levels and delivery to customer.
  • Monitor long lead items and ensure they are getting worked per schedule as well as prioritized and emergent requirements.
  • Develop and implement efficient order release process based on customer requirements.  
  • Develop recommendations to improve policies and procedures.
  • Develop and establish improved controls and reporting systems to provide accurate information on progress, schedules and customer service.
  • Responsible for AS9100 Certifications.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

 

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft AX.

 

 Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from a 4 year college or university; and 3 or more years related experience and/or training.

 

Specialized Training:

  • MRP or ERP system experience beneficial
  • Machine shop understanding a plus
  • Aviation background helpful

 

Knowledge, Skills and Other Abilities:

  • Polished professional with outgoing attitude, be a team player, and enjoy making guests feel welcome
  • Good typing skills, high level of proficiency with general office pc applications (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint), and comfortable with learning new applications as required
  • Quality orientated, must understand requirements of AS9102
  • Comfort and experience interfacing with various levels of staff and management while working in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills with the public, other employees, and vendors
  • Must demonstrate a sense of urgency and dedication to supporting customer requirements
  • Must be motivated, reliable, and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems
  • Commitment to work overtime on occasion
